DescriptionRecords consist of case files of non-academic misconduct that occurs in university residences or that is otherwise subject to Residence Community Standards, with the exception of “Level Three” misconduct cases which are to be referred to NAMIO.
Retention TriggerThe end of the academic year in which a case is closed.

Disposition PlanIf there is no finding or the case is informally resolved, keep the files for one year after retention trigger, then destroy. If there is a finding, keep the files for seven years after retention trigger, then destroy. In some cases, records may be kept longer at the discretion of case managers.
